NEW TV AD: “Tell Scott Tipton to Stop Hiking Up Health Care Costs”

New Ad Highlights Congressman Scott Tipton’s Vote to Sabotage the Health Care of Colorado Families

Grand Junction, CO — Colorado United for Families, a grassroots advocacy campaign to educate Colorado constituents on Congressman Scott Tipton’s (CO-03) votes on health care and taxes, is launching it’s second television advertisement to hold Congressman Tipton accountable for his efforts to sabotage the Affordable Care Act (ACA) and raise health care premiums on hardworking Coloradans.

The ad, “More Hikes”, highlights Congressman Tipton’s vote to undermine the ACA, which will result in an estimated 235,000 Coloradans losing coverage by 2025, including 35,200 of Congressman Tipton’s own constituents.  The six-figure buy will air in the Grand Junction and Colorado Springs media markets. The ad release comes as Colorado’s Division of Insurance works to determine by how much Colorado families will be impacted by increased insurance premium rates in 2019 as a result of ongoing Republican attempts to undermine access to quality, affordable health care.

“Congressman Tipton’s constituents deserve to know that he is responsible for voting to raise the health care costs of Colorado families,” said Kaitlyn Randol, spokesperson for Colorado United for Families. “When Congressman Tipton had the choice, he voted to protect wealthy corporate interests at the expense of his constituents.”
